Hello All!!Happy Independence Day Everyone!Today(Well, yesterday,to be exact) we celebrate the day when the world's leading nation(No,not kurdistan,A-M-E-R-I-C-A) came into sweet independence.Yes,it was this day long ago when the nation's finest minds came together to sign the sacred constituition that gave that country it's law, justice, equality and freedom of speech.Yes.The Declaration of Independence was signed this very day...Okay,so i'm a day late,so what? The people who signed it included John Hancock(Now who is remembered only through the insurance company which bears his name), Benjamin Franklin(The twit who was flying a kite in the middle of a storm.) William Whipple(I don't know who he is..but check out his funny name.) John Whitherspoon(Ancestor of Reese Whitherspoon?) and..yea.So on.This day in history! We salute the birth of the Red,White and Blue! The Stars and the Stripes. The land of the Free!!!!(Which the white men stole from the red men.)Whoo!Go George Washington!(Who is now remembered for his white hair, wooden teeth and love of all things free.) OH SAY CAN YOU SEE? IN THE DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT...

Well, missed school today. Why you ask?Well,i believe that it is of the utmost import that every country in the world, no matter how small and corrupt, should take a day off to gaze upon that hallowed banner of the free.Of the uoppressed.Of the brave. The banner upon which the world sits on,the dignatory of peace, the congress of progress.Okay fine. I had a really bad stomach ache last night.I mean REALLY bad.It felt like Hiroshima's twin world trade centres coming down with the panic of the Bali bombing. In my tummy...er...stomach....i meant Crap-Factory.I know it doesn't make sense. But for the love of Mankind! It was the pacific ring of fire in there(which by the way is located around indonesia,hawaii..)So yeah..One AM and i was in the toilet, feeling like i was being repeatedly run over by a garbage monster truck.Sheesh.Okay,i should stop freaking you guys out with my water closet escapades. So yea.just lazing around today.Have a new goal in life though.Buy my own ISLAND.Yes.And you,my loyal fans, will have all access VIP passes....To paradise!Where women in grass skirts will be serving you mango juice on the rocks in coconut shells.Yea.Paul-ra-dise.Perfect.

In the news today...Gay marraiges are now allowed in Italy.Amazing.Does no one else see that this is hugely wrong? "They are people too" i've heard that alot of times.But....Come on!Man wasn't created to behave like that! Say what you want, but my assertion stands.Down with gays! There's something about men and...well,men...that just disgust me.They make me shudder. What is the world coming too?I really don't know.

Who Do You Say I Am?

[Jesus] said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.”

--Mark 8:29

It was C.S. Lewis who first gave us the “tri-lemma” concerning the three possibilities of the person of Christ. The possibilities were:

Jesus was a liar. He was One who claimed to be God who said it loud and often. Jesus was worshipped as God, and yet He was a fraud, phony, and a deceiver.
Jesus was a lunatic. He was someone who believed He was God, but was deceived and insane. Jesus simply fell among the multitudes of false messiahs and phonies.
Jesus was [and still is] Lord. He truly meant what He said about being the Son of God. And the miracles really happened—they weren’t some kind of hoax. He is divine, holy, and God of the universe.
C.S. Lewis then opened the floor for the reader to decide. Is Jesus a liar, lunatic, or Lord? You can study the evidence—and there’s more than you can imagine that will give you the clear answer.

I have been studying the Bible for the past 10 years of my life. I am personally, intellectually, and spiritually convinced that Jesus Christ is Lord. For me to say He is a liar or lunatic doesn’t meet the demands of my own understanding. Do away with saying, “Jesus was a good man, a great prophet, and a moral teacher.” If Jesus was not God as He claimed to be, he was not good! How could you say a man is good who deceived multitudes or was Himself deceived?

And so, it gets down to the brass tacks. Who is Jesus Christ? Jesus is the Christ! Jesus Christ IS the Christian faith. And you must decide today who is Jesus in your life.

Jesus The Living Water

…so He came to a city of Samaria…near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. And it was about the sixth hour. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.” … Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

--John 4:4-10
Many of you have probably heard of the Good Samaritan who came alongside and took care of the man who was broken and wounded on the Jericho road. But today I want to tell you about the “Bad Samaritan.” She is the lady mentioned in the passage of Scripture above.

Jesus met this woman by divine appointment at Jacob’s well. This woman came to the well in the middle of the day at the hottest hour indicating she was a despised woman in her own community. She was immoral. She had been married five times, and the man she was living with at the time was not her husband. She had a terrible reputation.

When Jesus told her to give Him a drink, she was cynical in the question she followed with. She must have been wondering if He was trying to hit on her, since she got that all the time from other men who met her by the well. That’s when Jesus dropped the bombshell—He zeroed in on her greatest need, looked beyond her scorn, and went right after her heart.

You, like this woman, may have tried all kinds of things to quench your thirst and you may have been to many wells in your life. Maybe you identify with the woman’s immorality. Her beauty had probably faded and sin had hardened her face. She had no doubt cried out many times in brokenness. She had been chewed up and spit out by society, but yet she found herself face-to-face with Holiness in that moment. And instead of condemnation, God offered her a way out.

If you are in search of living water, then look to Jesus. This passage of Scripture doesn’t stop here, but instead it goes on to tell of great victory and triumph over sin through forgiveness found in Jesus Christ. I’ll talk more about this tomorrow. But for today, ask God to bring you to a place where you can meet Him face-to-face with all of your sin and all of His glory, so healing can take place.

YOU MAY HAVE BEEN DUMPED BY THE WORLD AND WASTED AWAY IN LIFE, BUT JESUS CAN QUENCH YOUR THIRST WITH A DRINK OF LIVING WATER.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

--2 Chronicles 7:14
Today our nation celebrates yet another birthday. Americans everywhere will rejoice in our freedom with fireworks, flags, barbeques, and fellowship with family and friends. Yesterday, churches all across the nation presented patriotic tributes to our great country. I am still moved when I think of the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, and those who are still serving our country today.

God has blessed America abundantly. Our nation has grown to become one of the grandest on earth, but in today’s culture, America has become rebellious. On April 30, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln made a proclamation for a national day of fasting, humiliation, and prayer. He said:

“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven. We have been preserved these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth, and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious Hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us. … Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient, too proud to pray to the God that made us. It behooves us then to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.”

Our nation has become “intoxicated” with immorality through abortion, homosexuality, sexual immorality, idol worship, and more. Many people today have launched an onslaught of attacks against God’s power and presence in our government, educational systems, and in everyday life.

We have allowed God to be dismissed from our foundational beginnings as Americans—including today’s school rooms, government facilities, and increasingly more public places. History shows that our forefathers included God in every aspect of building up this country from the constitution to the pledge of allegiance and from Declaration of Independence to our coins and dollars, but people are gradually removing His name from everything we hold so dear.

Christians, get on your knees and confess to God your personal and national sins. Revival will penetrate and spread throughout our nation when we begin to earnestly seek God’s presence in our country. Our pledge of allegiance says that our country was founded as “one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.” Thank God today for the blessings, protection, and freedom He has given us. Ask for God to renew your heart and spirit on this holiday and seek to put God back into the United States of America.

TRUE FREEDOM COMES FROM THE ALMIGHTY GOD…SEEK TO BRING OUR NATION BACK TO ITS DIVINE ROOTS.
