To be or not to be.

Well,it's twelve midnight, friday the ummm,i'm not really one for dates..Refer above..if it don't appear, well,i ain't one for details too.Okay,40 minutes of battery life left in the laptop.Bottom of the ninth inning, and the bases are loaded. It's the do or die moment.I'm not really a baseball fan and i have no bloody idea what the hell i just said. But,hey,i can try eh?If i'm speaking slight Brooklynese(E.g:I can tell you things about Louis that won't make you wave to him no more.)Then it's probably the side effects of over concentration of quotes from Arthur Miller's(Married Marilyn Monroe, the sly dog) View From the Bridge.Yea,today was Literature in english paper one (revised) Went really well, i might add.Seriously, i always wanted to post in the middle of a life deciding international exam....so here it is.

So i came on today,to see what's up at this here old blog, and i see a certain anonymous post.Asking me of my view of capital punishment(will come back later, that is,unless i forget it untimely). And my first thought was,MADAM PREMA.I dunno,Suspect the english teacher first.Sorry that haven't handed in my EL file,by the way, no harm done.Gulp.But then it turns out to be this blogger(wendy) who wins like blogging awards and stuff. And i was like,OH DAMN!Believe me,it's an honour. So, hey. Finally, recognition?Heh,i won't be complacent, that just screws with your mind.Complacency and Confidence should not get mixed. One can toe the proverbial line however...But yeah.An honour, miss.Hats off to you.27 minutes left.I am typing at great speed.Sorry for any spellling or grammatical errors. It sucks typig on a laptop.heh.So yeah,Hmmm CAPITAL PUNISHMENT...Surely alot of stuff to think about.Surely we cannot come to a conclusion so quickly.Surely we must incorporate the unmeasurable human nature,to judge,to survive,to conquer and to control.Well, i'll give you a bloody quick version of mine.24 mins....

Who are we to judge. Many unjust men deserve death.Yet many just men deserve life. Can you give them that?I dunno who said it, but it makes a whole lotta sense.Who are we to judge.I mean, what is the difference in dishing out death and following Justice by what ever other means?By shunning the criminal or by imprisonment? Is that not judging?Who are we to judge? We are but men, created equal in likeness. How is another question.God or genetic evolution,we are still of the same mould. We are of men.And how can we decide on another's life?Perhaps this stems from nature's Pecking Order. The law that there is always someone at the top.But instead of the Strongest, what do we have? The richest? The highest social standing? The most intellectual? Some does come out on top.And someone DOES have the ability to play with lives here. Why?Because we let them?Because we are facing a stronger power?Well, this POWER, is not of cosmic means. It is not of kharmatic origin. It is human. It is the power of the cunning of the human mind.Bravo.Clap clap.Bravo.With the limitations of the meagre human mind, one can rise higher than his peers. The greatest kings and conquerers.Created equal.Yet,that little bit of thinking puts him in the greatest advantage. He holds the power. The power of control.PERHAPS the power to judge,to sentence death.Perhaps.Who deserved this death, assuming that He was right to judge, and so to sentence? That of LOWER intelligence? That does not meet his intellect?the criminal does not?Why not then, say, the intellegince of that ruler used for calculation of a crime.Does that not take us back to the beginning of the cycle? That all are created equal? That all have the potential to attain the height of a leader of men and women? Thus we see, whom do we sentence?Whom do we judge? The next Mahatma Ghandi,or the next Eva Pernon.Terrorist to petty thief,we share that potential, for we are but men.To end a life?People make mistakes.Find me a man that hasn't and i'll deep fry my shorts and eat them. The world is riddled with imperfections. Is it these imperfections, lost in popularity, not of social or moral standing that poison a man with the death sentence?Mistakes are made, why? Why imperfection?Pride,GREED.Roots of evil. It's all a vicious cycle.Greed-crime-judgement.Perhaps,the respect that one has risen above the,the common man, does in fact justify the right for sentencing death. For the benefit of others? To keep peace?Life is truly the most amazing thing on earth.Should we,no,CAN we deny that right? We fight for human rights. Is this,IS LIFE NOT THE MOST BASIC OF RIGHTS?Perhaps judgement is right,to improve soceity.Perhaps soceity is not worth it.But please, ponder this. Are those who judge, alas, also guilty?

There ya go.Well,Me and Her are doing pretty well i say.I'll give more details after the Os or sis'll kill me.See yiz soon guys.I'm halfway there.

I'm a member of ThinkCentre. We are actively acting against the Death Penalty in Singapore and often launch concerts, online peritions and even vigils when a death penalty is passed. Did you know that Singapore has the highest deaths by hanging in the world?

I happened to come across your article dated 12 November'05. I do like it and it seems that you share the smae opinions as millions of like-minded Singaporeans. "Who are we to judge?" How many times has a person been sentenced to death only to be found innocent after a period of some time. We can't say sorry to a dead man. Only God will judge; men are trrible at it. If it is too much to ask of you to link our site to your, it'll be great, we want to acheive maximum exposure so that relevant authorities can see the light at the end of this dark damp tunnel that now seems to be illuminated by the light of the just like yourself. I see you're a believer, pray for the change of policy; (capital punishment is wrong in the eyes of God). You're a Sec 4 student/JC student I see. All the Best in your examinations. Do work for the cause, you'll be greatly rewarded.

Thank You.

Well, thank you Mr.Ravi.You don't have to be so formal. But,truly,it really is a dire issue we face on a sunny island such as Singapore.Who would have imagined?I have linked the site mentioned not only as a mark of respect that you read my whole post typed in tiny format against a very horrible template and backdrop and also ignoring the ridiculous amounts of spelling erros, but also that yours is a just cause. What is justice now?People hardly THINK these days. But,well, that issue is another post for another day.Good luck to you Sir.And for your Cause.

Wendy? Wendy Cheng Yanyan the owner of the fam0us blog xiaxue.blogspot.com is it?

She is possibly the most controversial woman in Singapore. She made headlines with her toilet crap post.

And, boy, that whole issue have really blown out of proportion.

And, erm, I see that even a lawyer visits your blog huh? Apart from Adrian Mole of course.. Heexheex..

Sometimes blown out of proportion isn't really such a bad thing...Besides,i do have a bone to pick with the singapore toilet association....

aDiBaH, is it really wrong to use a handicap toilet when there are NO handicaps around?

well, i didnt say that you are wrong. i know that you mean no malice when you wrote it.

Yah, i see no problem with using handicap toilets. period. i myself do use it too when there are no handicaps around.

I just don't know why people get pissed off with you for that post thus creating the whole hoo-haa. I don't coz what you wrote was factual anD I do admit that at least everybody have used the handicap toilet at least once.

Snort..Once?Cough...yes..once...Stop the rovings of your eyes!I didn't do nothing!Nothing i say!I'm innocent!!
