EL-E-VA-TION!!!
Yes,it's from U2's single.I dunno,i just like the song i guess,listening to it now...U2 makes so much more sense than say,BRITNEY SPEARS.And most modern pop songs are just full of crap.I ain't saying go listen to mozart(his music is said to be syncronic with man's brainwave patterns,by the way) or anything,but these days,i've been hearing the word baby and girl wayy too much.And rap.listen to rap.Rap has alot of emotion in it.Usually,no,always, it's rage,but it's rage you can share with the artist.Elevation just ended,the song i mean...Gee...my typing sucks...Anyways,rap.Rythmic Affirming Poetry.I don't mean just any rapper,people like busta rhymes and chingy(sure,their different,but aren't you sick of hearing how them girls should move their booty around?) i mean people like Coolio.Like DMX.You lend them your ear, you'll be saying screw the police too.They personify injustice.How they have been wronged.How soceity has changed,how it just "ain't right".All that anger...And that catchy music too.
Not too many have the talent to rap.It takes a quick wit,good vocab and "the voice".As you know,Not many Singaporeans have that.Let's just say i haven't seen a single one.So next time you hear your bud or some moron burst into free form Rap,just tell them they're KILLING the culture.Sure,you can dress up like them,have your little durag tied around your head,start talking like them,it's Aiite.But we can never be black.Heck,singapore doesn't HAVE a culture,so we take others.So,what ever you do, whatever you wear, don't try,you can never be them.Now,what about me and my cornrolls?Well, i do it to respect them.That culture which have been oppressed for so long,yet gifted in so many ways,African americans DEFINE culture.They taught the world to break away.And that's what we should.Critics only have so much to say.Just break away.
Hmmm...more cramming this past few days.Followed Nons and sis to Noni's birthday bash by the beach.Lotsa laughs,though i was afriad of leaving them.Let's just say they aren't exactly mermaids...Dog had a good time though.Some dogs have all the fun...Science paper today.Okay,i guess,wasn't as difficult as i had expected.Many people celebrated the end of exams...though we still have A.maths tomorrow...Well,to give up before the battle is even fought?Dishonourable.But...of course,honour only gets so far.It crumbles in front of self gain....hmmm...interesting disscussion topic...maybe next time.
